Built for the San Diego Lifestyle

British cats are indoor cats, which suits San Diego perfectly: no kitten needs the beach, and a British Shorthair is at its happiest holding down a sunlit room in a Del Mar home or a downtown condo. They are calm, solid and good-natured, affectionate on their own dignified terms. The Longhair's flowing coat is easy to keep with a few short brushes a week, and the Shorthair's plush coat asks for even less. Both breeds handle warm rooms gracefully, preferring a cool tile floor and a window with a view of the palms.

The Reservation Process, Simply

Three steps stand between a San Diego family and go-home day, and the first one takes a few minutes. Here is the process, simply.

Start with Available Kittens

Look at our Available Kittens first: if one of them is yours, reserve that kitten directly. If none is available, or none feels like the one, this is where the waitlist comes in: a $500 CAD plus tax deposit ($565 CAD) puts your family in line for priority selection from upcoming litters, before kittens are listed publicly.

Choose your kitten

Follow litters through photos and videos, pick your kitten with our guidance, and reserve with a signed contract and 50 percent deposit.

Welcome them home

We arrange the flight to San Diego and coordinate timing. The balance is due on go-home day, and our support continues for the life of your cat.

Colours From Our Lines

San Diego families choose from the golden shaded family, in both coat lengths. Golden shaded is the warm signature, green-eyed and plush. Blue golden shaded cools the gold toward silver-blue, and lilac golden shaded is the softest and rarest tone we breed. Point colour litters add blue-eyed kittens in golden shaded point, blue golden shaded point, lilac golden shaded point and silver shaded point. If a particular shade is the one you have pictured, tell us when you reserve or join the waitlist — the most requested colours are claimed early, often before a litter is ever listed.

Settling Your Kitten Into San Diego Life

Start your kitten in one room with litter, food, water and a scratcher, and let them claim the rest of the home over the first days. Our kittens are raised underfoot and arrive confident; most San Diego families report a fully settled kitten within the week. We send the full medical file, and your local vet, from La Jolla to Carlsbad, can continue care from the first visit.

Warm-weather common sense

British cats prefer the cool side of the room: tile floors, shade and moving air. In San Diego's mild climate that is effortless, and during a warm spell a cool room and fresh water are all they ask. Never leave any cat in a parked car, and keep the carrier shaded on the ride home from pickup. Grooming stays simple: weekly brushing for a Shorthair, a few short sessions for a Longhair, and daily short play sessions, ideally in the cooler morning and evening.

For households with ocean-view windows, congratulations: you have purchased your cat a television. Birds, palms and passing boats will hold a British cat's attention for hours, and the breed's calm makes them ideal companions for San Diego's unhurried indoor-outdoor rhythm, experienced, in the cat's case, from just inside the glass.

A word about lifespan and commitment

British Shorthairs and Longhairs are long-lived cats, commonly well into their teens with good care. We breed and place them with that horizon in mind: tested parents, a protected start and support that does not end at go-home day. A San Diego family reserving a kitten is choosing a companion for the whole arc of a childhood, and we take our side of that seriously.

Golden shaded, blue golden shaded and lilac golden shaded kittens with green eyes are our signature, in both coat lengths. Point colour litters add blue-eyed kittens in golden shaded point, blue golden shaded point, lilac golden shaded point and silver shaded point. If your search was cat breeder San Diego or British Longhair kittens California, start with our Available Kittens, and tell us your colour if you end up on the waitlist for a future litter.
