There are three steps: complete the reservation application, sign the reservation agreement electronically, and pay the deposit. The deposit is 50% of the total price, and the remaining balance is due at least 24 hours before your kitten comes home or is delivered. Canadian customers usually pay by Interac e-Transfer, and US customers pay by credit card through our secure payment page.
Our kittens usually go home at around 10 to 14 weeks old, once their veterinary health exams, vaccinations and any selected packages are complete. From the day you reserve until go-home day, we send you a photo or video update every week, so you can watch your kitten grow.
Yes. Within the Greater Toronto Area, we hand-deliver your kitten free of charge. For other cities in Canada, your kitten can travel by air cargo with Air Canada, and you collect it at your local airport. For families in the United States, a flight nanny can bring your kitten directly to your city, we can meet you at Niagara Falls, on the US side of the border, or we can drive your kitten to you. You are also welcome to pick up your kitten in person in Toronto and fly home together with your kitten in the cabin.
If you are purchasing a kitten as a pet, spaying or neutering is mandatory. Kittens go home unaltered, and you will have your kitten spayed or neutered by your own veterinarian, at your own expense, before the kitten is 8 months old, and provide us with the veterinary proof within 14 days of the surgery.
Like all cats, British Longhairs do shed, but shedding is very manageable. Good nutrition makes the biggest difference: a well-nourished cat sheds noticeably less and keeps a healthier, shinier coat. Regular brushing keeps their flowing, semi-long coat looking its best and keeps loose hair around the home to a minimum.
Yes. Every kitten has its own page with photos and videos, and waitlist members are welcome to visit and meet the kittens in person before making a final decision. For families who live further away, we are happy to arrange a video call.
