British Shorthair Kittens for Sale in Oakville, Ontario

Oakville keeps its small-town manners on the Lake Ontario shore: harbour lights at Bronte, the shops along Lakeshore Road, and some of the most pet-devoted households in Halton. Searches for kittens for sale in Oakville and British Shorthair kittens in Oakville rise every year, yet the local market offers very few documented pedigree programs. CatKing Cattery is the nearby answer. Our British Shorthair and British Longhair kittens are raised underfoot at our Toronto cattery, forty minutes east along the QEW, and families in Glen Abbey, River Oaks, Iroquois Ridge North, Bronte Village, Old Oakville and Joshua Creek already share their homes with our graduates.

A Documented Program, One Town Over

Proximity helps, but paperwork is what should decide. CatKing is a TICA, CFA & WCF registered cattery and a legally registered Ontario corporation. Our breeding cats are genetically tested, our cats are shown and titled internationally, and every kitten is examined twice by our veterinarian, vaccinated with two FVRCP core vaccines, dewormed inside and out, and placed with lifetime breed-related genetic disease protection and 30 days of pet insurance. For an Oakville family weighing a casual listing against a program that documents everything, the difference is not the drive. It is the file that comes home with the kitten.

Two Coats for Lakeside Life

The British Shorthair is the plush original: round face, dense double coat, one short brushing a week, and a real talent for claiming the sunniest chair in the house. The British Longhair is the same steady, gentle cat wearing a long, flowing coat that asks for two or three short brushing sessions a week. Both are indoor cats by conviction, which suits Oakville neatly: the harbour, the trails along Sixteen Mile Creek and the gulls off the pier are all watched from the right side of the glass, and neither coat asks for more than a window seat and a steady routine.

The Colours Oakville Asks For

Our specialty is the golden shaded family, in both coat lengths. Golden shaded kittens glow warm apricot with green eyes; blue golden shaded cools the same coat toward silver-blue; lilac golden shaded, the rarest of the three, softens it further still. Point colour litters bring blue-eyed kittens in golden shaded point, blue golden shaded point, lilac golden shaded point and silver shaded point. If you arrived searching British Longhair kittens Oakville with a colour already pictured, tell us early: the most requested shades are claimed from the waitlist before they ever reach a public listing.

How Reserving Works From Oakville

Oakville is close enough that reserving feels almost local: choose from home, watch your kitten grow, and go-home day is a short run away. Here is the process in three steps.

Step one: start with Available Kittens

Begin on our Available Kittens page: if a kitten there is the one, reserve that kitten directly and skip the queue entirely. Only when no kitten is currently listed, or none of them is quite the match, join the waitlist for a future litter: a $500 CAD plus tax deposit ($565 CAD) holds your place, and waitlist families choose first from every litter before kittens are offered publicly.

Step two: watch your kitten grow

From reservation onward, photo and video updates follow your kitten's growth, and we are glad to video call so you can watch personalities emerge before you commit. When you choose your kitten, the contract is signed with a 50 percent deposit, and the balance comes due on go-home day.

Step three: home to Halton

Oakville is an easy run from our Toronto cattery, and we coordinate go-home day with you: many Halton families collect their kitten in person, and delivery can be arranged for families further across the region. Your kitten arrives with TICA registration, both vet exam records and lifelong breeder support. Message us any time, for the life of your cat.

Your Kitten's First Week in Oakville

Start in one quiet room, with a litter box, fresh water, the food your kitten knows and a scratching post, then open the house gradually over the first days. British kittens raised in a home arrive confident, and Oakville families usually report a kitten supervising the household from the back of the sofa within the week. Book a first visit with your Oakville veterinarian in the opening weeks; we send the complete file, both exam records, vaccine dates and the deworming schedule, so your vet can simply continue the plan.
