British Shorthair & British Longhair Kitten Prices

Every CatKing kitten is priced individually and openly. Below are our current pet kitten price ranges by colour, in Canadian dollars, before tax.

Colour Pet Price (CAD)
Golden Shaded $3,250 – $3,850
Blue Golden Shaded $3,250 – $4,250
Lilac Golden Shaded $3,550 – $4,250
Point Colour $3,250 – $4,250

Within each colour range, a kitten's exact price depends on its overall quality: facial structure, eyes, nose, muzzle and overall look. Coat length and gender do not affect the price, a British Longhair costs the same as a British Shorthair of the same colour and quality. Why CatKing Kittens Are Worth It

  • Proven by hundreds of families: CatKing is a trustworthy cattery that has sent kittens home to hundreds of families, and their real feedback is right there for you to see, on our website and across our social media
  • Bred from show cats: most of our Kings and Queens hold champion titles, and every breeding cat here carries champion bloodlines
  • The faces: round, sweet and doll-like. Compare our kittens' photos with any other breeder's, the difference is the first thing families notice
  • Fully registered: TICA, CFA and WCF registered, legally registered and insured
  • Real protection after go-home: lifetime genetic health guarantee, 30 days of pet insurance, 30-day rehoming health protection and 7-day environmental-issues protection

Our Spay & Neuter Policy

To keep our kittens' early months focused on growing strong and healthy, CatKing no longer offers spay or neuter surgery as an optional paid service before go-home day.

This allows our kittens to join their forever families sooner, giving you more time to bond, experience the joys of kittenhood, and watch your little companion grow. It also gives every family the flexibility to arrange the procedure with their own trusted veterinarian, at a time that best suits their kitten's individual needs.

As part of our reservation agreement, all kittens must be spayed or neutered by the age of 8 months. New owners are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of the procedure and providing CatKing with a copy of the veterinary certificate once completed.

Providing this confirmation helps us maintain the continuity of care we value at CatKing — a commitment that extends well beyond go-home day.

Kitten Price Questions

How much does a British Shorthair kitten cost in Canada?

At CatKing, a pet British Shorthair kitten costs, in CAD before tax:

  • Golden shaded: $3,250 to $3,850
  • Blue golden shaded: $3,250 to $4,250
  • Lilac golden shaded: $3,550 to $4,250
  • Point colour: $3,250 to $4,250

Every price includes the first two FVRCP vaccinations and two veterinary health exams. Our breeding cats are show cats: most of our Kings and Queens hold champion titles themselves, and the rest are the direct kittens of titled champions, so every kitten here carries champion bloodlines.

As a buyer you will see many options and many breeders. What you will notice first, comparing photos side by side, is the face. Our kittens have the roundest, sweetest faces you will find, and that is exactly what generations of top bloodlines look like. And with a TICA, CFA and WCF registered cattery, a written contract, lifetime breeder support, and hundreds of families who have already trusted us with their kittens, CatKing is also the choice that lets you sleep at night.

How much does a British Longhair kitten cost in Canada?

British Longhair kittens at CatKing are priced exactly like our British Shorthairs, in CAD before tax:

  • Golden shaded: $3,250 to $3,850
  • Blue golden shaded: $3,250 to $4,250
  • Lilac golden shaded: $3,550 to $4,250
  • Point colour: $3,250 to $4,250

Coat length never changes the price. Our longhairs come from the same titled show cats and champion bloodlines as our shorthairs, with the same round, beautiful faces, the same two vaccinations and two health exams included, and the same trustworthy cattery, proven by hundreds of families, standing behind them. If you are comparing breeders, compare the faces: that is where top quality shows first.

Why do two kittens of the same colour have different prices?

Each kitten is assessed on its own quality: facial structure, eyes, nose, muzzle and overall look. Kittens closer to the breed standard sit at the top of their colour's range.

What is included in the price?

The listed price includes the first two FVRCP vaccinations and two veterinary health exams. Everything else, such as a microchip, rabies vaccination, health certificate or TICA registration, is an optional package you can add.

How much is the deposit?

Joining the waitlist takes a $500 deposit plus tax ($565). When you reserve a specific kitten, the reservation deposit is 50% of the kitten's total, and the waitlist deposit is credited toward it.
